DRT VALVEÂ is a professional manufacturer for high quality butterfly valve ,Â
Â
Â
Â
A wafer type butterfly valve with a handle lever is a type of industrial valve commonly used for regulating or isolating the flow of fluid in a pipeline. lt belongs to the category of quarter turn valves and is known for its compact design and quick operation.
Â
Â
Here's a breakdown of its components and how it functions:
1. Body: The valve body is typically made of cast iron, ductile iron, carbon steel, stainless steel or other materials, depending on the application requirements. lt has a wafer-style design, which means it is installed between two flanges in the pipeline.
2. Disc: The disc, also known as the butterfly is a circular plate that rotates within the valve body. lt is usually made of metal or a combination of metal and resilient materials. The discis mounted on a central shaft, and when rotated, it can either allow or block the flow of fluid
3. Seat: The seat is a ring-shaped sealing element located on the inner periphery of the valve body. lt provides a tight shut-off when the disc is closed, preventing any leakage.
4. Handle Lever: The handle lever is the manual actuator used to control the opening and closing of the valve. lt is attached to the valve shaft and allows the operator to rotate the disc. By moving the lever to different positions (typically 0° for fully closed and 90' for fully open), the disc can be positioned accordingly to regulate the flow.
Â
Our handle
Â
Our handle lever is designed by own factory, and we apply patent certification for our handle lever.
When the handle levers in the fully open position 90° the disc is perpendicular to the flow direction, allowing unrestricted flow. In the fully closed position 0°, the disc aligns with the flow, blocking it completely.
Â
Application
Â
lt's important to note that wafer type butterfly valves are suitable for applications with moderate pressure and temperature conditions. They are commonly used in industries such as water treatment, sewage water treatment, pure water, HVAC, chemical processing, and food and beverage.
When selecting a butterfly valve, it's crucial to consider factors such as the type of fluid, pressure rating, temperature range, and compatibility with the pipeline materials. Additionally, valve sizing and proper installation should be taken into account for optima performance.
Â
The acceptable directions of installation butterfly valve is Horizontal and perpendicular.Â
We do not recommend mounting with vertical downward direction.

The advantages of our valve
Â
â— The design is novel, reasonable, unique structure, light weight, rapid opening and closing.
â— Small operating torque, easy operation, effort and dexterity.
â— Can be installed and maintained at any location.
â— The seal can be replaced, and the sealing performance is reliable to achieve zero leakage of the two-way seal.
â— The sealing material is resistant to aging, corrosion, and long service life.
